Who does Heartland serve?

Heartland provides occupational and speech language therapy for any child, age 0-18.

What do I do if I have concerns about my child's development?

Call Heartland Pediatric Therapy for a free phone consult about your concerns.

You can also have your child's doctor fax us a referral at (866) 473-0308. Once we receive it, we will call you to set an appointment.

If you're not sure what to do or just want to talk about your child's needs, please call Heartland at (785) 546-0665 and we will help you make a plan.

What if my child already gets speech therapy or occupational therapy through the school system?

Children can receive therapy services at both school and at Heartland Pediatric Therapy!

If my child already gets therapy through the school system, why would we need it from Heartland?

It's all based on your child's needs. Therapy services at Heartland are one-on-one, not in a group, focusing only on your child during sessions and for the frequency and duration that your child needs. Therapy is play-based and often uses your child's interests in helping them develop skills. Scheduling is not dependent on the school year calendar, thereby offering continuity. As long as we have a signed release, we can communicate and collaborate with other providers, including schools, so that we are all working together for your child.

What do I need to bring to the evaluation?

Insurance cards, hearing screen results, and evaluations or IEPs if your child has had services elsewhere.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. Currently, Heartland Pediatric Therapy accepts Aetna Better Health, Sunflower, United, United Health Community, Cigna and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas.
